Recent Claims Scenarios

Chubb helps resolve trucker's injury claim

A third-party trucker was at an insured fruit canning facility picking up a load. He was trying to tie down his cargo while the forklift drivers were still loading. While securing, the conveyor bumped into the platform, knocking it over and onto the driver causing injuries. The driver submitted a demand for damages.

 

Chubb provided a defense for the insured and helped to successfully resolve the claim.

Chubb settles parmesan cheese spoilage claim

An insured manufactured packets of parmesan cheese that went into salad kits. A metal burr on the slide of the sealing equipment perforated some packets causing the cheese to spoil. The packets, which then contained mold, were shipped to the insured’s customer.

 

Chubb responded to the incident and settled the claim.
