Become an Insurance Agent Who Truly Understands Diverse Communities

“An insurance agent should be more than a salesperson. They should be a trusted companion walking alongside clients through life’s critical moments.” In Hong Kong, many communities remain underserved, including singleton, marginalised communities, and families beyond traditional structures.

Conventional insurance training often fails to reflect their real needs, lived experiences, and systemic challenges. Chubb Institute collaborates with Alongside Academy, launched the Inclusive Community Programme (ICP): a 9-month, 80-hour fully sponsored, on-the-job training programme. ICP aims to cultivate a new generation of insurance agents who are equipped not only with technical expertise, but also with empathy and practical skills needed to serve diverse communities with dignity and respect. It covers essential perspectives on inclusive communication, healthcare, legal considerations and psychosocial understanding.

Upon completion, participants will receive the FICP – Fellowship of Inclusive Community Programme certification, recognising their professional to support individuals and families from diverse communities.
