Heath A. Bender is a Senior Attorney with Chubb's Westchester House Counsel firm Varvaro, Cotter, Bender & Walthall. Mr. Bender is a veteran trial and appellate attorney and handles complex and high exposure cases in the areas of premises liability, construction accident/labor law liability, products liability, motor vehicle liability, and defamation. Mr. Bender is also experienced in handling professional liability litigation on behalf of professionals including debt collectors, franchisors, employment agencies, property managers, and travel agents.
Prior to joining Chubb, Mr. Bender was an associate attorney with a Manhattan law firm where he represented physicians and hospitals in medical malpractice cases. Previously, Mr. Bender was an Assistant District Counsel for the Immigration and Naturalization Service, United States Department of Justice,in the New York District Office.
Mr. Bender has been a guest speaker at New York State Continuing Legal Education seminars and routinely represents at Insurance Committee meetings regarding liability, exposure, and litigation management. Mr. Bender also presents legal education seminars to his large corporate clients and their staff whom he represents on a regular basis in a variety of matters.
