Proprietary Technology Streamlines Risk Assessment
Our underwriters utilize the most sophisticated techniques available for risk assessment and employ multiple event-based catastrophe simulation models to evaluate the loss potential of each risk assumed. For perils and regions where a robust vendor model is not available, we rely upon a proprietary exposure and experience model, developed over our operating history.
Our proprietary portfolio management system helps us to streamline a complex and data intensive process allowing us to assess each risk as well as evaluate the amount of capital required to support it. We further stress test our portfolio by managing to worst case events. This highly technical approach combined with a measured willingness to lose ensures our interest in being a valued catastrophe reinsurance partner now and in the future.
