Samuel Peters

Division President, Chubb Tempest Re Bermuda

Samuel Peters is the Division President, Chubb Tempest Re Bermuda. Mr. Peters is responsible for all operating aspects of the company’s Bermuda-based property and casualty reinsurance business, including underwriting, actuarial, claims and administration. He reports to James Wixtead, Senior Vice President, Chubb Group, and President, Chubb Tempest Re Group.

Mr. Peters has 18 years of insurance industry experience. He joined Chubb in 2006 and has held a series of roles with increasing responsibility, leading to Chief Actuary for both Tempest Re and for Chubb Bermuda. Prior to joining Chubb, he was an actuarial analyst with Amica Mutual Insurance.

Mr. Peters holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Bryant College in Rhode Island. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
