Chief Risk Officer, Chubb Tempest Re Limited

Giuseppe Russo was appointed Chief Risk Officer, Chubb Tempest Re Limited in January 2018.  In his role he is responsible for the worldwide actuarial and risk management functions for the reinsurance operations of Chubb Tempest Re Group.  Dr. Russo joined Chubb Tempest Re, USA as Chief Actuary from 2005 to 2007 and from 2009 to 2017.  Dr. Russo was Chief Risk Officer for Chubb Tempest Re Group from 2007 to 2009.

Prior to joining Chubb, Dr. Russo was Chief Pricing Actuary at Converium Reinsurance.  Before that, he was a consultant with Oakley E. Van Slyke, Inc.

Dr. Russo received his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from University of California, Berkeley.  Dr. Russo also holds a Master and Bachelor degree from University of Waterloo, Canada.  He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
